Sustainability-Related Disclosure Obligations
Information according to the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR)
1. Strategy for Dealing with Sustainability Risks
Sustainability risks are events or conditions in the areas of Environmental, Social, or Governance (ESG) – whose occurrence could have negative impacts on the value of an investment.
Current Status of Integration
In the context of advising on insurance-based investment products or financial investments, sustainability risks are currently not systematically included in the selection process.
Reasons for Non-Consideration
The decision not to explicitly integrate sustainability risks into the consultation at this time is primarily based on the following points:
- Data Quality: The ESG information provided by product providers is currently not yet available in a depth and comparability that would allow for a sound systematic assessment.
- Regulation: The technical standards of the EU are partly still in the finalization phase, which makes reliable implementation difficult.
Important for you: Upon your express request, products with environmental or social characteristics can, of course, be included in the consultation at any time.
2. Remuneration Policy and Sustainability
The Disclosure Regulation also requires information on whether the remuneration policy is consistent with the handling of sustainability risks.
Neutrality of Remuneration
My remuneration for the mediation of insurance is not influenced by the sustainability risks or characteristics of the recommended products.
No Misaligned Incentives
There are no financial incentives (such as higher commissions) to preferentially recommend products with or without a sustainability focus.
This ensures that the product recommendation is made regardless of ESG criteria and that only your individual needs and the risk-return profile are at the forefront – unless you explicitly value a prioritization of sustainability criteria.
3. Future Development
I continuously monitor market developments and the data situation in the ESG sector. As soon as a reliable and systematically beneficial inclusion of sustainability risks is possible for you, I will adjust my strategy accordingly and provide information about it here.
